Capgemini grade clarification

#1 Capgemini grade clarification

Njk00

Hi guys,

I have just received an offer from Capgemini as follow:

Application consultant 2 grade A6

47K£ base salary

Flex fund 10K£

Total package 57K£.

I have 4y of experience in Accenture and I was in Technology solution with a total package wage of 38K£ as software analyst.

Here some questions ;)

1) Do you know the career steps in Capgemini? Which is the corresponding level of A6 in Accenture?

2) Is application consultant a "consultant" role or a technical one?

3) Do you think that the offer is reasonable?

Regards

Nykyr to Njk00 (#1)

Hi Njk00,

Can you provide an update on what happened with this?

If you accepted, it would be good to see what your experience has been and if you have been able to answer your own questions.

Following on from this, can you shed some light on how the 'A' grading works at Capgemini?

Thanks. N.

For technology delivery consultants, the below banding applies - everyone who isn't a solution architect is called an "Applications consultant", regardless of whether they're a dev or a BA / functional person.

A1-A3 - Junior Consultants. Not aware of any experienced hires being placed in these bands

A4-A6 - Consultants.

A7-A8 - Senior Consultants / Solution Architects

A9 - Managing Consultants / Solution Architects

A10 - VP

1) Do you know the career steps in Capgemini? Which is the corresponding level of A6 in Accenture?

Top tier consultant grade before senior.

2) Is application consultant a "consultant" role or a technical one?

Depends. You should probably have asked this at interview ;-)

3) Do you think that the offer is reasonable?

Yeah looks about right.
