Good morning/afternoon all,

I am currently working as an engineer, and have been for the last 6 years. I am looking to move across into the management consulting sector, but am having some trouble determining which level I should be applying.

If you take Bain's structure I would be thinking consultant level, or Mckinsey, associate consultant. However, I feel the lack of actual business experience or formal training may be hinder my application. On the other hand, to go a level lower may be under utilizing the skill set i have built up.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice/experience of this scenario?

Thanks,

Stuart
