As I slave away at my research project (if you ever want any information on how mathematical models can be applied to cancer growth and treatment, feel free to ask) and prepare for a few exams, I can't help but remind myself of the white sands of Cancun awaiting me this summer (6-7 weeks away, time flies!). And tequila. A lot of tequila. I'll stop myself there before I get carried away...
Any nice plans for anyone else? Family breaks, holiday with friends? Let's share!

Just cashed in a lot of airmiles for some free first class flights to Japan, happy days.

well this summer i'm hoping just to get out in the garden and take things easy for a bit. maybe a few nice long walks and just generally enjoying the sunshine. i'd love to go to somewhere like one of the greek islands but family commitments at the moment mean that i'll need to stay at home. but hopefully i'll still be able to go out on a few nice walks, chillax in the garden, read the papers and do a bit of DIY and so on... Cancun does sound excellent though, i bet the weather will be fantastic and i can only dream this year of mucking around in a hot outdoor pool!

Wow, just... wow. Very impressive, that'll be a nice break away that's for sure! Japan is definitely on my bucket list for the future.

Hope everything is okay with the family, potentially sometime soon? Any interesting locations you've been to over the years anyway (and would recommend)?

Realistically I expect to spend the weekend cooking for my pregnant wife, looking after my energetic kids, and cleaning the house. As an optimist I hope to be naked, scratching my balls whilst watching a Steven Seagal film...,,

Hilton points spend on an all inclusive resort in Turkey - working away 4 days a week means the usual self catering holiday to Italy is considered too much like hard work!
