i have a project in Singapore...anyone here have any experience living and working there?
Singapore is a nice place, a modern city. You will enjoy it. However, it is a small island, so if your engagement is a long one, you might want to consider weekend getaways to Malaysia, Thailand, Bali, etc.
Life in Singapore is great. There are a lot of job opportunities for professionals. You won't feel any discrimination as they are open to foreign employees.
