Hi Guys,
Soon i am going to receive a official offer from Accenture Australia with their Oracle workforce as Oracle Apps Consultant. I will be joining as experienced hire. They gonna pay me 88k including super (this was communicated by their recruiter verbally) So anybody let me know , this the max package i will be getting at consultant level?
Moreover what relocation allowance they cover?(as i will be moving from overseas and i am holding resident visa) either they pay me specified lump-sum amount or i need to claim these expenses individually with the supporting documents.
Regards,
Consultant

You should have negotiated relocation as part of your deal. It's likely they will offer you their standard relocation package which will be communicated in their offer letter.
Typically they will cover flights, shipping, a fixed level of out of pocket expenses etc. The usual process will be for you to pay for them and then claim back via expenses.

OZ worker thanx for the reply. Tomorrow hopefully i will receive the official offer, so still i have chance to negotiate the package and relocation.
Well actually currently i am living in a fully furnished company maintained accommodation,so i don't have much stuff to ship to Australia. As i heard the cost of appliances and other stuff r bit higher than elsewhere(i am based in UAE) , so i am thinking to buy and ship these stuff from here. I want to utilize the max limit of my relocation allowance.

Yes, as one the above poster said, its important to negotiate the relo in the offer itself. It may not be too late however,...just say you did more homework and you would like ABC ...included in the deal. However, ACN AU are VERY inflexible in negotiation. Dpeneds on who you are negotiating with, however. Try and avaoid HR if you can- nothing but paper pushers. Go negotiate with hiring mgr and they will push the buttons for you with HR ( HR usually wont turn down hiring mgr requests). 88k PKG in australia is typical low-balling ACN strategy. Sorry, but you will find that your take home is approx 91% of this ( the rest superannuation), and tax brackets for non citizens are higher than citizens.
However, its a good way to get into the country and after doing some time at acn, you should be able to find something else- with PR, with stability, and with the brand name acn provides on your cv.

@ Gunslinger
Well today i negotiated with them and they agreed to adjust my salary package but my bad i didn't negotiated the relocation & hiring bonus, so do u think its gud/appropriate to negotiate again for relocation allowance & hiring bonus?
I already have PR.
Regards

well....if you have already negotiated with them post acceptance, then i think you might push it over the edge if you try and negotiate again. If the terms are acceptable, id leave it alone now and not push your luck anymore.

I am really sorry for asking this to you upfront (Please feel free to choose not to answer this query and accept my apologies in case if I hurt your feelings).
Actually, I wanted to know as how many years of experience do you have in ERP consulting to get an idea about market rates out there in Australia.
Secondly, if you don't mind could you please share a package range for that experience (frankly speaking, I just do not want to ask you about your package directly).
Thanks for you help and understanding.
Cheers....

Hello sapconsultant,
I am sorry to jump in the subject but I founded you comments very interesting. I received and offer letter from ACN Abu Dhabi as a consultant position (financial services) and I was wondering if you know if I could negotiate a sign on bonus and relocation allowance? Were you with ACN in the UAE? I am working in a international bank as project manager in Barain and want to go the the consulting industry rather than the banking one.
I lived in australia couple of years back and I can tell yo that it's awesome. I don't know to which city you will be but you won't regret it. Congratulation for the position.
Regards,

Friend,
I do not about BONUS category but a big YES for the RELOCATION part of your package. And in case you have a family (spouse and kids), it becomes quite easy to negotiate on this part.
I hope it will help.
Cheers...

I have 5 years of ERP experience and all together 12 years of IT experience.
Anything starting from 100+ AUD is for managers and below that for consultants (based on experience 80k to 100)
I hope this will help
cheers

What i heard from friends in Australia, that cost of living in Sydney & Brisbane are almost same except accommodation. In Sydney the accommodations r bit expensive then Brisbane.
Cheers

Brisbane is not much cheaper than sydney/melbourne EXCEPT accomodation. The rents/sales prices are much much lower in brisbane.
Nice place, im told. A friendly and relaxed lifestyle.

Hi oracleConsultant,
you are now 6 months in. Can you give me a bit of inside info on what the oracle workforce is like? I'm likely to receive an offer next week within that workforce.
You also relocated from overseas right? Wherefrom exactly?
How did the whole relocation package worked out for you?
Thanks
misss

Hi SAPConsultant,
Could you please provide me some useful info about package, tax & LAFHA in Accenture brisbane? I've total 11 years of experience including 6 years of SAP experience.
it seems the tax portion is high especially for 457 VISA holders.
Thanks in advance for your support !
