Over twenty year's consultancy experience working in a wide variety of industries including Government Organisations, Public Sector and Health Sector, Petrochemicals, Engineering, Distribution, Retail, Manufacturing etc.
I have also worked extensively overseas, notably on assignments in Brunei, Zambia, Iran and within Europe (Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Irish Republic, and the Channel Islands).
I began working independently in 1977 specialising in business analysis, performance measurement, VFM reviews etc.
I have also worked on an associate basis with many of the major international consultancies,
(E.g.: KPMG, PA Consulting Group). On some assignments acting as Divisional Director to introduce the process of change.
Publications include numerous specifications for tendering Public Sector services concerning ‘Competing for Quality’ and the Environmental Protection Act.
Recently I have been involved in European and UK business development in the Public Sector, and BPR assignments within the Financial Services sector.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE
Business analysis, facilities management, and Interim management for the NHS, Local Authorities, and Universities etc.
Typically assignments have been in response to Market Testing and CCT pressures and have included project management and change management in and IT management information systems.
All projects have included the identification of problems associated with the introduction of a commercial culture, the establishment of a team action plan, and the development of pragmatic and practical solutions to the problems identified.
On some assignments, e.g.: Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and London Borough of Lambeth, I have acted on secondment as the appropriate Divisional Director to manage the department and provide guidance through this process.

Business analysis in the Financial, Retail, Insurance, and Information Technology Sectors, together with Engineering, Petrochem, Transport, Manufacturing, and recently privatised Public Utilities.
Although the assignments I have undertaken have varied widely they have generally focused on overhead and/or unit cost reduction through the introduction of systems to provide business enhancement and a competitive edge. In many cases it has been a requirement to project manage, evaluate, specify, and introduce IT systems to gather financial and operational statistics and to provide a suitable means of disseminating this information.

 Rank Xerox LTD - (UK, Holland) - Project to co ordinate all inventory, geographical, political and statistical data from c.55 countries into Central Materials Control in Aylesbury. Project management to design and implement data capture system including field tests in Europe.
