There are many ERP solutions that claim that they can fully support the Automotive vertical. Does anyone know of a solution (except SAP) that has fully integrated the following; automatic cumulative reconciliation, fully intergated EDI (Edifact,VDA,Odette,ANSI X.12), B2C, JIT / JIS, container management, self billing, retro-billing,ODC (scan-to-ship & scan-to-receive),CSC solution and a full suite of manufacturing (kanban), warehouse logistics(incl. FIFO, random access)costing, financials, stats,Purchasing B2B etc. Required for a large tier 1 project. A close fit may do for demanding customer.

I assisted the development of just such a system for Honda in the early 90's.

The answer, I can assure you, is to build one (not necessarily from scratch). There is not one package that does it all, no matter what 'they' might tell you. For a fee I'd be delighted to assist, although I fear I may be altogether too late!
