Recently got promoted to SM in a Big4 advisory unit.
However, I got a slight increased in base salary, but a reduction in bonus.
This was done as a part of transition to a new salary model.
The net effect for me personally is a slightly reduction in compensation from last year (Manager level).
This is unheard of in my mind (given increased responsibilities and salesa targets) so I discussed this directly with the partner. Lots BS in return, and trying to me covince last year was "exceptional" for me bla bla but he would look into it to see "what he could do".
So I followed him up with an email asking if he'd looked into it - but no response.
This is really not acceptable for me, and I am now exploring other opportunities (of course).
Anyone here who has been in a similar situation ?
