RECRUITERS

I just wanted some feedback from recruiters. I did geography for my undergrad and got a 2i from UCL and am considering going into consultancy. Would it be advisable to do a masters in business or management to give me a foundation to go into consultancy?

Secondly, does having a masters degree really improve an applicants application and if so to what degree?

A non-business related degree is fine, if it has been complemented by some meaningful work experience. If you haven't been working in a business role, then some post-grad study would be a sensible idea, because you may struggle with the assessment process without some theoretical framework to work from. But, I am a big believer in that mythical attribute of "Common Sense" - something a lot of grads seem to be lacking!! A hefty dose of that can take you as far as any masters degree. Good luck...
