Usually around 25k. Best not to shop around based on salary, instead take a good look at the companies - websites, careers events, make some personal contacts etc. For a grad job you shouldnt really decide based on remuneration.

Cheers Bob, I know what you are saying and ive done that. For me early responsibility, culture and ability to move up the organisation are my priorities, but I could help but wonder as ive seen figures for different grad roles from 22K (PA consulting)to 30.5 (Deloitte consulting) and I was suprised ar such a big gap considering they are in close competition with each other, for talented bright minds like mine!

Fair enough, I guess not many people would want to do consulting work for peanuts: the money can be an important factor... Bear in mind that it can all change at the next step up the ladder, so starting salary may not mean too much depending on where you are. Also remember that the more a company pays, the more they expect of you: if they can afford to pay you more, its because they're charging the client more, which means expectations of your performance are very high all round. --------------

I know some figures but (major disclaimer) could be wrong or mis-informed: [Accenture] 28.5 + 10 over two years; [Deloitte] 29 + 1.5; [IBM BCS-BD] 28 + ?; [IBM BCS] 25 + ?; [BT C&SI] 24.5 + 0.5; [PA] 25 + ?. That's about the extent of my knowledge - like I said, most are around 25K. Also look out for performance-related bonuses around 10-15% pro rata.

Deloitte is infact £30.5K + £1500 free or £7000 interest free loan.
