I was hoping to get a nice long list of acronyms people use everyday so that I can use them in my upcoming meetings, emails and presentations.

Do you pronounce it "poop" - like "I really need to show the client your poop by the end of the day" or "you need to work on your poop, it's not big enough" or "there's too much red on your poop"?

Noone calls it PooP. Its called "PoaP" - as in "Plan on a Page"
Anyway, I think the testing boys beat us to most acronyms and naming things that those of you who don't get involved in testing won't recognise:
UT, CIT, ST, SIT, UAT, BUT etc
Online vs Batch days
Sandpit, shakedown etc
and so on...

Hate to spoil the fun but an acronym is a type of a pronouncable abbreviation which functions like a name - NASA, PETA and my acronym of the day - SNAFU. An abbreviation is just that - FBI, HBO, WTF.

Yes but what about those organisations whom you never see an acronym ?
I give a starter for 10, up north there is a Clinical Commissioning Group for the NHS - Wakefield and North Kirklees CCG, don't believe me ? google it - there also used to be a Wakefield and North Kirklees Health Informatics Team too.
I'm sure there are many others like fast action response teams etc.
