Accenture career paths

#1 Accenture career paths

Hello all

I have been offered an IT support position for Accenture in the Leeds office, I am looking to get into consultancy. I have been contracting for 5 years in various IT roles including several projects.

I am wondering what are the chances of moving from support into consultancy once I am with Accenture? Basically is it worth me just applying straight into consultancy jobs or try and make the career move with this position?

I have been technical and am looking to move out of this direction into more business focused by maybe taking a degree course such as MBA and a course with Prince2. I am wondering what the training facilities would be like in trying to achieve these qualification in the IT support department. Would they encourage this or would I have to pay for these by myself? Basically is it worth me training myself or try and work with Accenture and train with them?

Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks. Regards

Joe
