Accenture Offer?

#1 Accenture Offer?

Louise

Hi,

I have just completed a Graduate Training programme (18 mths) in Corporate Banking with a major Irish Bank in Dublin. I have enjoyed the experience but feel detailed credit analysis really isn’t my thing. So I applied to Accenture for Strategy Consulting, I didn’t get an offer for that stream but do have an offer for the NATP or Mobilization/Outsourcing.

Just like to know which is better choice of these two, I have a degree in Law and Accountancy. Which better choice in terms of career development? Which be more suited to my background? Am I making the right decision to leave banking and go into consulting? I only applied to Accenture, should I try other consulting firms?

Please advise,

Hi Louise,

I recieved an offer for the NATP which I turned down. They have gotten back to me in the mean time and offered me a final round interview for S&BA, which I think I am going to go for. Can you tell me what your S&BA interview was like? Any info would be REALLY appreciated.

As regards, the NATP. My main fear of it was the distinct possibility of being turned into a code monkey. If you are going to accept it, I would contact them to ensure you will be joining Financial Services. Given your background, that might keep you clear of testing/development roles as they may capitalise on your Banking background, which will give you a distinct advantage over Analysts with no experience. I'm actually from Ireland too, my plan at the moment is to join Deloitte (London) in September.

Anyway, if you could offer any advice about the final S&BA interview, I would really appreciate it ...
