Hi I have just moved to Yorkhire from Brisbane and I am looking to get into Management Consulting. I have just completed my Bachelor of Business Management at USC. Problem is nobody has heard of it in the UK. I would preferably like to work in Leeds or Hull, am I being realistic? I am also interested in change management, project management. Could any body give me advice of companys in the area that would take me on in a graduate position and who are the best companies to approach? Any help would be appreaciated.

Accenture and Deloitte both have big projects up there so apply to them. If you need a contact in these firms then let me know.

Hi Queenslander. Wanting to work in Yorkshire is fine, but I would question whether Consulting is the right choice for you if you are "geographically challenged". Most, if not all of the big firms require that you are fully mobile in the UK (and often beyond). Don't get too hung up on the location side of things... and good luck!

I'm not too bothered about moving but it would be nice to start off small then go somewhere bigger. I supposed I like the wide open spaces and not so many people, London can be a little daunting for someone who's lived in an area that has only 20 thousand people. Just getting use to more people right now. I will see what I get offered, thanks for the advice.

ACN is hiring like crazy in Brisbane/Melb/Sydney/Canberra. Dont rule out going home. You can always transfer to the UK later

Hi there, I see that ACN are recruiting heavily in Oz - is this the case with many of the big firms? Does it look like the recruitment boom is reaching Australia too then (i.e. as it is in the UK at the moment)? Any insights or advice on where to find out about the Australian consulting market would be much appreciated. Cheers.
