It's wet. Very wet. But looters cant run in the deep water so easier to pick em off with the sniper's rifle I got on eBay.

Just seen the news;-

Another sink hole has appeared in Market Raisen - council officials looking into it and also have called for a rename to Market Sunken.

Also breaking Kingston Upon Thames now to be known as Kingston in Thames.

Hmmm. Just seen that major flooding has now spread to Swindon where it is estimated to have caused more than £50 million of improvements...

The water board has implemented a hosepipe ban and there are rumours that water rates will be rising due to the lack of rain this year

It does annoy me that cameron is going about saying "money is no object". Typical of the public sector - great at spending other people's money even when the country is bankrupt. Call in the army, cameron's ego needs stroking and we need to show the country how impressive and powerful he is! Reminds me of gordon brown when he used to go around saying "we'll do whatever it takes". Then you see william and harry seizing the PR opportunity to get some photos of themselves in the papers throwing sandbags around, like the hard-working down-to-earth salt-of-the-earth sleeves-up everyday working class grafters that they aren't. How about chucking a couple of million into the pot instead, if they really care that much? I guess after a year off and endless holidays in 7 star villas or mucking about in chinook helicopters or on the ski slopes it's about time they did some work though? Come next elections I'm voting UKIP, anything but the status quo will do just fine.

@BEP,

Someone put it succinctly, "It's not a few weeks of rain. It's 50 years of neglect!"

Very true. Not to worry though - now that our glorious Prime Minister has taken personal charge of the situation we'll all be just fine.

The thing that really p*sses me off is.....

My place, West Berks, for donkey years, we have been asking them to do something about it. We were even willing to pay out of our own pockets, but the damn council, etc. put in all sorts of effin obstacles. We (ppl in the area) knew that constant heavy rain would easily cause flooding. But no one did anything.

Instead.....

Don't know if you read this, but apparently, a lot of planning permission given out for the building of new projects on these flood plains.

Effin w**kers! The public sector really does p*ss me off royally at times. This damn country really does p*ss me off at times.

Insurance will cover, even for one of my places, which I think suffered structural damage. But wtf? This only increases the premium!

Moral of the story? Stupid councils. Stupid gov. Stupid country.

I've reached the conclusion that we basically live in a country full of morons. Nobody makes anything useful any more. The entire economy is based on debt and house prices. Have you recently tried phoning a company such as BT? Impossible to speak to anyone. We used to be a rich, prosperous nation. Now we're turning into a country full of morons that live in shoe-boxes and vote for people who waste money on things like HS2. What went wrong?

Too much money spent on consultants instead of making decisions?
