Evening All,

Looks like a really excellent forum that I have found :) hope to get some good use out of it and contribute as I can.

Ok, so i am a masters graduate, with two languages on my CV - Mandarin, French & English - having worked with a uk based large high street bank - over the past 2.5 years on their corporate leadership program. Really good experience, however we are going through a period change.

i am looking to move into consulting, approached accenture and i have been offered a junior consultant role 32k ++ sign on bonus, london based in FS.

My real thoughts are salary is a little low, around 15-20% lower than my current role - if my current role was london based - I am based in Edinburgh. Salary offered is especially low considering London.

I am looking for the international opportunities, and the chance to apply my skill across different business lines, plus improved career opportunities.

The sign on bonus does take me up closer to my current level - but - it is not salary.

I wondered what the forums take was on accenture, career opps, industry vs accenture culture and any tips or advice on moving across into consulting.

I should mention that I have an interview for Mckinsey shortly, but there process is rather arduous and not wanting to put all my eggs in the one basket!

Thoughts and opinions welcome :)

D
