I am a ACN tech consultant in the commercial space. I have no complaints about my job. Love the travel, technology, and client work. The only thing I would like in my career is someday transitioning to more strategy/management consulting work in the technology space.
I have been approached by KPMG to join their Federal Advisory group. It is a more functional role and as I understand more strategy involved. Now, I joined ACN after 3 years of federal contracting and hated it.
Do I suck it up and give up the travel and consulting work to do more strategy work? Or is there a better way to get to this goal. I am also in the process of putting together MBA applications.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
