Wsamie

Hi,

I am a well accomplished project manager and hold MBA degree. I am planning to move to MC career and was wondering if I can get some advice from the experts here how should I swiftly shift.

Should I pursue any certification? Any special recommendations?

Thanks,

Wessam

Mr Cool to Wsamie (#1)

Apply for jobs at MC firms.

Could have saved you some money on that MBA!

Arby the Manager to Mr Cool (#2)

Does anyone else keep repeating "swiftly shift" over and over in the hope of getting it right first time?

Hi

A guy I used to work with just wrote this book - http://www.amazon.com/become-management-consultant-whether-should-ebook/dp/B00GQWV38E/ref=sr_1_sc_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1384897429&sr=8-2-spell&keywords=how+ot+be+a+big+four+management+consultant.

Although I don't particularly like him so don't want to promote his stuff, I have to say it's a pretty good summary of the differences between consulting and industry and how to get in to the former.

Maybe worth a read if you're bored and want some substance to consider? (but see if you can borrow a copy rather than pay him ;-))
