I am looking at jobs in KMPG's IT Advisory function and am a bit confused with the grading structure. I have seen jobs for Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager, Advisor, Senior Advisor and Executive Advisor. So what's the difference between Advisor and Manager?
|
Basically it works as follows:
Consultant/advisor/assistant manager are all the same.
Manager/executive advisor are the same
|
Here are kpmg formal gradings:
Grade E - Associate
Grade D - Consultant/Advisor/Assistant Manager
Grade C - Executive Advisor/Manager
Grade B - Principle Advisor/Senior Manager/Associate Director
Grade A - Director
Grade P - Partner i.e. Noob
|
The grades in KPMG's Advisory function are:
Partner
A = Director
B = Principal Advisor = Senior Manager
C = Executive Advisor = Manager
D = Advisor = Assistant Manager
E = Analyst = Graduate Trainee
(there is also associate partner and associate director).

Where does Associate Director fit in? Senior Manager?
Any guidance on base+package?

Its the old skool name for senior manager, at least that what was in the email sings for kpmg senior mangers who had been at that grade for 200 years.

I am going for a final round for advisory manager OR senior manager (as per initial feedback)
Can anyone comment what are the key things to demonstrate for SM? (i.e. what is delta between M & SM )
Also, what are utilization rates for the two levels, and is it typically working on one or several projects at the time.
Thanks!
