Roger

Can one move from Investment Banking (Corporate Finance) after 2/3 years as an anlyst to consultancy (idealy strtategy) without undertaking an MBA? If so do you start as an analyst or have more seniority? I am interstedd in the large boutique firms - McKinsey, Bain etc. Not Deloitte, Accenture etc What salary would you start on?

Thanks

Roger

O

Roger, I'm in almost exctly the same position... have you gotten any handy feedback as of yet? Also, given that a lot of the graduate deadlines have passed (which sometimes also included people with 0-3 years non consultancy experience), would you fall under the 'professinal hire' bracket? Thanks

recruiter

The traffic between I-banking and Consulting is definitely two-way. If you are particularly looking for strategy, I would definitely add L.E.K. to your list as your corporate finance background is likely to be very attractive to them.
