Hi out there! Am in a dilemna of sorts... I have been working in EU affairs (International commerce in the European Commission) for the last 3.5 years and, rather late/early, depending on your point of view, have decided that the private sector is where I want to be, specifically consulting. I know the best most realistic thing for me to do is get a respectable MBA under my belt, but has anyone heard of anyone who has directly swapped from the public sector to management consultancy, even if it means starting right at the bottom (and hence almost sacrificing existing work experience)? Cheers for any info.
