Hi!

I would like to know if anyone knows of a forum for admission into MBA programs at B-school in the UK?

Thank you!

Dear londoc,

Thanks for your reply!

The forum is pretty useful!

I saw your post- have you applied to LBS as yet?

I am planning to sit my GMAT in April and will apply to MBA programs after I get my score!

Good luck!

Sam,

some good sites that I have used include www.admissionboard.com; www.clearadmit.com. Very good postings on there about gaining admission. Also they have specialised consultant services to tailor your applications to certain schools.

Best of luck on the GMAT. I'm assuming that you're applying for entry next year as opposed to this year, since you're taking your GMAT in April. Otherwise, there will be few limited places available in the last round of most good schools.

Cheers,

Sean

Yes I have.

Don't get too bogged down with the GMAT. If you have some common sense about you it won't be a problem. Don't get too involved with trying to 'out-think the question writers', like Princeton Review suggests. I thought that was a waste of time and that it was much easier just to answer the question without getting all Freudian about it. Practice lots of questions from The Official Guide.

Good luck

Hi londoc,

Good luck with your application at LBS!

Which other school are you applying to?

What are your plans after the MBA?

Would you like to stay in medicine/NHS?

Or are you interested in the Pharma sector?

I am thinking about applying for the MBA programs at Imperial and Bath (and depending on my GMAT score to Oxford). What do you think of these programs? After my MBA I would like to get a position as a business developer within the Pharma industry. I hold a Ph.D and have done several years work in R&D- so I think doing an MBA is the next logical step! I hope to hear from you! Good luck with your MBA applications!

Thanks Sam.

I am also applying to INSEAD. Nowhere else, for a variety of reasons I am not going into online. Feel free to e-mail me on londoc@hotmail.com if you want to know more.

Think Imperial and Bath are both pretty good and will have affiliations with pharma companies but don't know much beyond that I am afraid. The MBA certainly looks like a logical step for your career goals, and I am aware of people that have already made this transition so it is certainly possible.

Good luck.
