and went to get a temporary one from the lady at reception at my client site:
"Are you KPMG?"
"No, Accenture"
"Oh...you just really look like you're from KPMG"
Not sure what to make of it, is that a complement or an insult? What do people from KPMG look like that I seem to share similarities with?
I have it very clear in my mind what the difference is, but I daren't say anything on here for risk of offending.
From my experience having spent time with both; if your female and your being told you don't look like an accenture consultant its a bad thing. Accenture seem to have a very clear policy of hiring the best looking female graduates, not something replicated in KPMG.
What are the differences?? I am a KPMGer and I have never heard of this.
I want to know!
OK, let's put it this way, if you were to meet somebody from either organisation, which one would you expect to possibly have their shirt untucked and slightly grubby/crinkled looking, for example?
Oh I see....very interesting.
Thanks!
What's even more interesting is how you know which one is which.... ;)
I pay to have my shirts ironed...
So do I...I get a discount if I'm still wearing them at the time.
I hear that Mars has a solid upper torso, so solid in fact that it can be used as an Ironing Board.
and also as a convenient, self-transporting white board* for those ad-hoc water cooler 'strategy' sessions owners of search firms seem so enamoured with
* entirely dependent on wearing a white shirt obviously
That might be true for London but in my part of the world that stereotype fits pwc, especially the auditors. They are in auditing my client its safe to say more than half don't check the mirror before they leave the house!
