Ive recently been accepted to accentures new analyst program with the option of joining an Operating Group or GACT. My degree is half business half technical and ideally id like to stay close to technology initially. As regard career path/ prospects which is the better option?? Does the work differ greatly between the groups?? Currently i am eding towards gact and while i am interested in and enjoy technical work i may not have as much technical expertise as say a cs grad. Will GACT train new employees up?

As regard career path/ prospects which is the better option?? - they are both very similar. GACT will be moe technical but you can still progress on the same timelines as the operating groups.

Does the work differ greatly between the groups?? - No, you will probably be working on the same projects, but as saidfd before GACT will normally take the more technical roles.

Will GACT train new employees up? - Yes, and you always have your team mates to use as a source of knowledge.

Overall if you want a technical role, go for GAT regardless of your current technial level. You nearly learn as much in 1 month on a job than you do in 4 years of college!

For a less techie role, but to still work with technology go for an operating group.

Hope this helps, and don't worry too much. You're going in to a great company and if you have major issues just talk to other people & they will let you know what to do.
