APM or PRINCE II?

#1 APM or PRINCE II?
28/05/2012 14:19

KK1

Hi All,

I have 13 years of full time work experience of which c10 years are in Programme/Project Management. I have also done my full-time MBA around 5 years ago.

With this brief background, which one of APM and PRINCE II would be suitable for me?

Based on my research, APM seems to be more advanced than PRINCE II but it's the latter that seems to be well known and more popular in the UK (in both public sector and private sector consulting firms).

Also, I have been told that PRINCE II teaches only "what to do" whereas APM teaches both "what & how to do".

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
