Job title advice please :)

#1 Job title advice please :)

Tansy

Hi everyone,

I have had 12 years experience in my field - been a contractor for 8 of those. I have a mixture of project, programme and PMO expertise.

I've just come out of a contract so don't belong under a specific job title anymore (as it were) and am wanting to make my title a bit more generic (especially on linked in) - something along the lines of 'Project, Programme and PMO Consultant' except not so long possibly. I feel more inclined to shy away from using consultant in my job title due to the possible negative connotations with it... Unless my mindset needs updating and there are positive connotations associated with it?

I'm also maybe slightly reluctant to use 'Specialist' since I don't know absolutely everything there is to know ever invented and I feel you have to if you use that word... Or don't you?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

CheckingOut to Tansy (#1)

Consider using "Principal" or "VP".

Generic but lets people know you are experienced. You can then "spin" it anyway you want.

My two cents.

Camster to Tansy (#3)

Architect, Specialist are top. Also, if possible, throw in the word "ecosystem" in there :)
