PwC to acquire PRTM

Just seen this official news flash: PwC is to acquire PRTM!

After the failed Deloitte / Roland Berger deal last year, I wondered what other acquisitions might be in play. PwC on quite a roll it seems having acquired Diamond too.

Would be intrigued to hear your thoughts on the deal - especially if you're at either PwC or PRTM...

PwC has acquired two management consultancies (PRTM/Diamond) in the last two years..What do you think the impact of this will be on the advisory service of Pwc? I suspect this is targetted at agressive growth of their strategy unit.

Years has been wasted since 2006 when the pwc/ibm deal expired (having partners/directors from audit and risk management running consulting). with the new management, pwc seems to be on the right track (of acquiring PRTM) of getting back into consulting business. the ability to keep PRTM personnel (or other consulting firms they acquire in the future) will be one small step forward for pwc to be a real player in the consulting market
