More job offers when at Big 4 than MBB?

Cat

Hi,

I moved from PWC to an MBB firm c.12 months ago and have since seen a marked drop off in calls from recruitment firms (and views of my linkedin profile), why do people think this is?

Suggestions:

1- Recruiters focus more time searching through Big 4 companies due to volume of people

2- Job market is slower

3- I'm seen as too expensive for some positions?

4- Harder to tempt people away from MBB and close the deal

anon to Cat (#1)

Waste of time trying to headhunt someone who's only just moved jobs. They'll most likely be focussed on embedding themselves in their new firm. If they're flighty enough to want to move already then they're not a desirable candidate.
