hi, I'm looking for a job. I'm M.Sc. in mathematics and doing Ph.D. I have no idea which type of job is suitable for me,except teaching.

That means no type of job is suitable for you, except teaching. Seriously.

C'mon Rashmi - it's a bit lazy isn't it? Surely you can do a little research alongside your PhD into what you want to do with the rest of your life??

But as you are on a consulting forum, I suggest .... how about seeing if a consultancy job is right for you? Depending on what your PhD is focused in a role in a bank could also be a good move. If you have really good Maths from a top university, something like strategy consultancy or risk management maybe (either Market Risk or further back in the food chain, maybe a a quant role designing models and stress tests)?

This is exactly why when I last worked for a firm that did a lot of graduate recruitment, we'd pay the PhD applicants the grand sum of £1,000 more than the grads

Sorry, but 90% of the time we found that the PhD was completly unrelated to any career ambition held by the Dr.

The 1K was a sop to their ego and nothing more.
