I had an interview for a Manager position in the PwC strategy practice a few weeks ago but the process has ground to a halt.
Does anybody know what is going on?
Same here. Got past the telephone interview, and then silence. Nothing whatsoever.
Not a good show by PWC.
Is the big audit bus going in to reverse I wonder? (nb - i don't actually have a clue, before any1 suspects of scaremongering :) )
Could the flurry and hype about mass recruitment all just have been a big PR exercise, to show the world how busy and successful they are? After all, nobody eats in an empty restaurant...
The same experience. I had a telephone interview for experienced hire with the strategic consulting line 2 weeks ago. I was told that I would hear back within 5 working days. Though have not heard anything yet. I suppose not a good sign....
Hi Anon, do you mind to tell me what service line and when you had the interview? So i can briefly assess my chance on this one... Thanks in advance!
Could just be that the head of HR is off sick. These big firms are very bereaucratic and hierarchical and so there's probably a single person who can make a decisio to proceed with someone's application.
Everyone always forgets about the human factor.
Would PWC clients also be greeted with such silence if the main client contact was off sick?
Methinks this is more than just someone being off sick.
Sorry to say that, though it is possible that PwC does not want to pursue these applications anymore...
Well, one thing is for sure.
These candidates have been made a promise by PWC, which has not been fulfilled.
The promise was that they would be told of the outcome within 5 working days. However, they have heard nothing at all.
Broken promises are not good.

One of my friends applying for grad position received pass notice 3 weeks after telephone interview, so I guess these things varies.
Plus, if you are offered interview for manager position for strategic position from PwC. I am sure your CV will get you tons of other oppurtunities. So keep eyes open and best luck to all of your guys!

Hi,
Don't despair, they take AGES to get back to you. If you applied through an agency ask you recruiter to call them up or else chase their contact yourself. The process is slow, but I got a "Yes" from them 3 weeks after my interview.
Good luck!
Yea, I got a yes after 4 weeks as well... tho not yet the end of the tunnel for me...
PwC, like most of the big 4 are a shambles when it comes to recruitment. It's just an embarrassing waste of time.
Well, I'm still waiting for a response from my CSC interview. It's been nearly 6 years!
