Just wondering if anyone knows how many consultants globally there are in Bain, BCG, McKinsey etc?

Cheers,

The numbers are in the "About us" sections of their web sites.

McKinsey is in the rough ballpark of 4500 globally (give or take a few hundred). I don't know for the other two. I assume you've checked their websites? Many of these firms have it on their sites - KPMG, my old firm, is about 110 000 globally (on the website too), but a lot are in accounting assurance rather than consulting. Still, you usually find the consulting arms of the big accounting firms (or sold off from them: Bearing Point, Accenture etc) are bigger. McKinsey has given itself a premier brand, but if you want sheer work volume, you look at KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, Accenture, Bearing Point etc.
