Hi everyone,
I was recently invited to a first round interview for a Consultant position (exp hire) at Booz. Following indications of my availability they emailed today to say that they're no longer recruiting for that position. Is this usual? What could have gone so wrong in 2 days? Can the recruitment requirements change quite so drastically within this short time frame? I am quite disappointed but intrigued too...
I was so excited about speaking to them. Are other Strat houses recruiting at all?

They probably visited your facebook profile and saw that pic you uploaded from your Greek-island holiday last summer. You know the one, with the male stripper and the beer bong...

'Achilles', you see that was my first thought too. I revisited my website, my FB, Twitter account, everything....with my grandma's eyes. Nothing silly on there. Just intelligent musings and my beautiful face.
In all seriousness, I have an extremely professional presence on the web so that having an adverse influence seems unlikely.
Shane, it's Booz & Co.

Maybe it was your infidelity in running away with Paris then?

I have a bottle of green glow in the dark schloop that I got in Bulgaria a few years ago.
Tasted great at the time - does that count as mysterious booze??

I know someone who had a similar experience with E&Y

Same thing happened to me (with Booz). Sounds like they were about to launch an expired hire programme, then reconsidered it over the new year.
