As an Army Officer looking to switch careers on completion of my MBA this summer, I'm looking for advice on the names of smaller consultancies specialising in Change Management; ideally with a strong focus on leadership development, culture and creative approaches to problem solving/group facilitation.
Yes the short and sarcastic answer is to 'Google it' but as everyone out there claims to be a consultant or change specialist I'd appreciate a more refined view!
Sector is less important than what I've already mentioned.
Many thanks.

Tennnn HUT! *stamp/salute*
I'd frickin love to have an ex Army Officer on my team!
Someone disciplined, no BS, not afraid to kick ass when it needs kicking. I can tell just from your style of writing that you're a straight-thinking, no BS kind of guy.
I have a feeling you'll breeze into this, Guy. Have you checked the Institute of Leadership and Management by the way? They do a lot with ex Army folk I believe. Maybe try and target companies that do a lot of work with the MOD as a stepping stone into consultancy?

Try Ignite, they fit the bill, work across sectors and seem decent folk.

Stand-easy Dave!
Thanks for the vote of confidence; I'm looking forward to the switch and think I'll have a lot to offer.
I am booked on some ILM and NLP business coaching courses over the next couple of months so will take the opportunity to hoover them for advice.
Thanks for the response.

Anon... Thanks for the Ignite tip. They cover exactly the sorts of areas that interest me. I'll certainly be getting in touch with them at some point along my way!

Try PA Consulting
They have (or at least had) ex Army people and Sir Mike Jackson works with them as an advisor
|
Guy - you should talk to G1 Consulting; they are a recruitment firm that focuses on placement of ex-services personnel into high tech, engineering and consultancy firms.
web site is www.G1consulting.co.uk

Try Vega Consulting... They work primarily in the Public sector. Thier cash cow is the MOD. I know they have made a number of redundancies so do some research beforehand!

try 8works. whatif, the ASE at Capgemini

"Change, Leadership, Culture, Creativity"
Don't go to PA then, none of those things in evidence.
