I've found a role with Capita which looks quite good.

BUT... what's the general consensus about Capita? Good/bad? Things to watch out for?

Whats the position?

IT outsourcing or capita consulting?

BPO or PMO etc?

In general, very (almost exclusively) public sector focused. Lowish pay and poor prospects

Not sure which of these it is. Basically it involves lots of process improvement type work for one 'client' only (i.e. Capita seem to have the contract for doing loads of BPO work and this role involves designing/managing the processes). It's for a private sector 'client' and the pay is not the best but is OK for me. What do you think? Anything to watch out for?

It's not glamorous, but then again lots of the "real economy" isn't. It'll do what it says on the tin and as a business it's sound - probably going to continue doing well out of the public sector cuts. The private sector side is smaller so unless you can find a way to make connections across to the public sector side you might find yourself out of a job when this contract ends. But, given the scale of the deal, that might still give you a few years.
