What looks better? Leaving the jacket on or off?

wondering

I would like your advice.

Does it look better to keep a suit jacket on during a one day interview or can one also take off the jacket without looking

unprofessional? (I am a female)

Thanks!

doesitmatter?

If a consultancy firm (or any employer for that matter) is going to offer (or nor offer) a job on the ground that you had or jacket on or took it of...then I seriously would question the depth of substance of that employer. Really girl, start thinking about the interview and the case studies if you want to have a fighting chance to get in.

maybeitdoes

Actually, looking at it a different way, perhaps it DOES have an influence - although on the candidate rather than the employer. If having the suit jacket off makes you feel more comfortable, then, and especially if you are a female, this would seem acceptable to me. But then it all depends upon what you are wearing underneath. Whatever happens, remain confident and choose the option that makes you feel the most comfortable.

Good luck and don't worry!

Day

Simply, wear comfortable dress so, that you would not even have a chance to think about it (to take it off or not). You have much harder things to cope with.

... strong advice: never take it off during the interviews and between the sessions. It may be allowed to undress in working sessions within your team...but remember to redress for presenting your results;-).. good luck!

Depends on your bust size.

Hit

I recently completed a first round interview and was invited back for the second round. However, the feedback was that I should have kept on my jacket until asked if I would like to remove it. As you can imagine I was quite shocked.
