Hi guys,

I need your help. I'm writing my master thesis on the differences between non-profit organizations (e.g. RedCross, World Wild Life Fund For Nature, UN, or other big and small NGOs) when consultants were called in can do consulting jobs.

Any thoughts would be helpful. I also have a questionnaire that you can filled in, but some thoughts would be fine too. I really appreciate your help!

Thank you in advance.

"non-profit organization" is such a US-centric term. At the very least, in the UK they are referred to as "not-for-profit organisations" of which there can be many types.

main difference is size of the consulting jobs available.

-a well funded worldwide finance NGO

-risk and treasury IT strategy, implementation, change mgt

-same functional skills required as for an IB but softer style and ability to cope with a v different decision making approach & culture, also to provide more coaching/handholding. tenured senior clients reluctant to make decisions that brought personal exposure. decent scale but slim margins and constant pressure to increase scope for same fee.
