Just got rejected by Accenture. Quite disappointed to be honest. However, I feel the one good thing to come out of my two month experience with Accenture is that I've found out that Consultancy is where my interests lie. I can't be that bad as far as skills are concerned as I did manage to get to the Assessment stage.
My question is to all those who have experience of working or applications within this sector...
Is it better to stick to the Big consultancies (Grad. Applications) now that I've been declined by ACN or should I now aim to start lower down the ranks with smaller consultancies in and around London/ SE England?
I understand ACN has a very thorough recruitment process but it's not going to get any better when I go and apply with the same credetials to the likes of IBM, CaP Gemini etc. is it? So would it be an idea to go for CV+cover letter type recruitment instead with smaller consultancies and possibly gain experience till I can get an experienced job at one of the Big 4 two three years down the road.
Does anyone have any ideas for me?
