Accenture Grades

Hello... I have 3 years post grad experience plus just over an additional year doing an industrial placement at a blue chip consulting firm. Looking to join Accenture - what grade should I be expecting to join at? From my understanding I would suggest C2 - anyone agree?

No, I would expect that you'd come in no higher than a C1 given that you have only 1 year industry experience. Can't hurt to try though!

Sorry, bad wording on my part, I don't think I was clear in my original post. The 3 years post grad experience I have are at the same blue chip consulting firm that I did my IP. I am at the equivalent of C1 level there at the moment. Surely C2 is feasible given that?

could be a hypothetical discussion, is ACN actually hiring or just putting ads all over the place anyways?

WHATEVER!!! It could just be interview practice for the juniors! How can you be sure the opportunity is real?

accenture are definitely hiring in specific practices and capabilities. trolling and FUD won't change that fact.

OP - I would think C2 is perfectly reasonable but you should know that the difference is largely academic as a) it does not equate to a fixed salary range (ie. experienced C1s can earn more than home-grown C2s); and b) from other posts on the topic it seems the number of months at level will be less important when it comes to promotion eligibility. Good luck with the application.

someguy, on what authority do u have it that accenture are definitely hiring in significant numbers (not just for the odd role here and there out of a 20,000 staff company).

Nothing other than my own experience but I was interviewed recently during which it was stated that they were going on a large recruitment drive

Accenture are hiring but realistically they'd only look to bring you on at C1, it would be a gamble to bring you on at a higher grade when you haven't operated at that grade or within Accenture. Why should they give someone what is effectively a promotion when they haven't proved themselves in that organisation?

I've interviewed 9 people for both graduate and experienced hire positions in Accenture over the last two weeks. Believe me - they are hiring.

They're desperate to bring staff in the front door since there'a such a flood of people leaving out the back.

Heard they're even re-hiring the people they made redundant a year or so back...that must be great for the morale of those that managed to stay.
