Nick

Hi,

I wonder if some of you out there could offer me some of your wisdom! I am currently working within the Automotive Industry as an Engineer. I would like a change of direction in my career and would like to re-train to enable me to get into Management Consulting.

What would be the best type of course to get me to where I want to go???? MS'c in a particular subject or in at the deep end for an MBA???

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

Nick,

I am also and engineer with industry experience in Telecoms. Leverage this experience when you are selling yourself to MC's. Research the companies (research phase), review your CV and get it right (review phase), and then apply to the one's you want (Application phase). If you have the industry experience you mentioned go for it now! All the consultancies are hiring. THis is all based on the assumption that you have a good undergrauate degree. I don't have an MBA nor an MSC, but my CV has been screened by over ten MC's resulting in 8 interviews. Go for it now and don't waist anytime - good luck.

Hi, being very general, I would say ACCA or CIMA is the most relevant. Try to see the openings and see what are the most popular. But of course as for more opinions, as mine is very general.
