Which big firms are doing government consulting in the UK?

Curious to know which firms are doing the bulk of consulting to central government? And are any of these recruiting at the moment?

I suppose that depends what type of government work you're referring to... the IT side of things seems go to the big players: Accenture, EDS (less so nowadays), IBM, Siemens, Fujitsu, Syntegra, etc. due to the sheer size of contracts. Many of them are certainly recruiting. If you're thinking of more public service strategy and policy consulting, that's a completely different niche and the players are understandably different...
