ACN Assessment Centre

I've been invited to an ACN Assessment Centre in London. Can anyone who's recently joined/ interviewed please explain what the questions are like and what the assessment entails?

I have recently been through the Accenture second round and was successful. It will be a lot easier and shorter than you think. The case study is quite easy, as long as you follow the guidlines that are given in the case studies on the Accenture website. During the group work on the case study you will realise that the info each candidate has been given is different. You should notice this and inform the rest of the group. Try to do it subtly it will not have the same effect if they think you already know. Friends of mine that have also gone through the process have had this same scenario. You should also practice your presenting skills. They do not specify that you have to do a presentation on the website but at the end of the creative thinking exercise they expect you to give a 2 minute presentation between thew four of you. In the creative thinking exercise there will be a laminated piece of card on the table, make sure that you read both sides. The other people in the group had not realised until I told them. If you spot it first then teel the group as the whole thing is about teamwork. Hope all goes well. GOOD LUCK!

many thanks for your valued comments! I have my assessment on 10th August and to be honest, I am a bit tense as I feel three weeks between first and second stage is making me lose focus. I hear Feb. 2005 is the earliest start date. Is that true? Which area within ACN are you interested in? I feel inclined towards C&HT, Products and Government. Were your choices similar?

Also, hwo many days did ACN take to reply to you with their final decision? and when do you get your contract?

The earliest start date probably is Feb. When I went through the interview process we were told January. I have opted for the whole year off and am not starting until next August it seems silly to turn down the oppurtunity of an extended holiday. I have opted for Financial services, C&HT and products. I was told that there were some really boring projects in Government. They replied within one week over the phone and then sent the contract out immediately. You then have one month or so to decide and send the signed copy back to them.

Make sure that you have a look at the British Airways and Dell case studies as these cover a lot of the core processes. I found these quite useful. Hope all goes well!
