I already thought about Capgemini. Are you in Change Mgt? I am basically looking for larger transformations across Europe, did some post-mergers and other transformation projects previously. Not looking for package implementation type of projects! Fluent in English, German & Spanish. Which practice would be most suited for me? Where do you have the strongest team for international assignments? Any chance to exchange on the phone?

I am indeed in Change Management. Sorry, but it's not convenient for me to talk on the phone at the moment but I'll have a stab at some of your questions here. In response to your info, I don't think their are many international opportunities within Capgemini CM practice from the UK. However, with your language skills you could apply to a number of offices in various countries that you might consider working in. In regards to the type of work, to be honest, the majority of work is the associated business change of IT implementations. That said, there are a number of pure change projects involving org design and culture etc. However, I would not like to say that you would def be deployed on such a role. It is likely to vary. I think this scenario is the same at most of the big IT firms such as IBM or Accenture but I'm not best placed to advise on them. Hope this helps.

Cap Gemini? Not what I'd call qualified to answer! It is about 10 years since they did change management, and all their good behavioural people left long ago! Although I would agree that the big firms like CAP are all swarming 'round the IT bandwagon, because that's where the cash is (not forgetting public services is just a stop gap to keep the utilisation up rather than push the margins). The truth is out there.

And I'm a doctor of engineering, but that doesn't mean I can fix my bloody car!
