Project Management Body of Knowledge

I'd like to know how important are the PBMBOK on managing projects at your projects.

By the way, does anyone knows the PMP certification? I don't see anyone talking about it, maybe the it's not that popular as I imagine to be.

I'd like to hear some coments about the importance of the PMBOK pratices for you.

It´s just a big dream to imagine a project without problems, and realy big problems. So, it would be good if the project managers use its pratices on their projects. The number of mistakes would be reduced a lot.

Have been on the PMP Project Risk Analysis Management level 1 course and found it to be very useful, however the certification does not seem to be widely recognised, to the extent that I know have to say it is an APM (association of Project Managers) approved course which holds more weight.

I also agree with the comments made by Marcos, every projrct has problems and risks! Also how many PM's out there go for a refresher course? I have yet to come across the perfect project!
