Rollercoaster

I was just browsing consulting firm salaries on Glassdoor.com and they seem to have shifted downwards from when I last looked a couple of years ago. Is this perception or reality?

There might be an element of data cleansing by Glassdoor I suppose but in the economic climate over the last 18 months I suppose it is not surprising if my observations are correct. The salary survey here didn't seem to have dropped, more remained static IIRC.

On a related note is there a benchmark anywhere for fees to total compensation ratio for consultants? It'd be a good benchmark as annual fees to total annual compensation removes lots of variables like part time working, holiday differences, bonus percentages difference etc.
