analyst

Can anybody shed some light on EY's Transaction Real Estate practice in the Middle East?

I am an analyst in one of the big consulting firms working out of the London office but I fancy moving to Dubai and was wondering whether this is a good opportunity which will give me some useful experience.

Any advice will be useful! Thanks

Just a thought to analyst (#2)

Considering that this role is transaction services, I would say that such a move would be a lot easier if you were ACA / CFA qualified. Particularly as you will be joining at a junior level.

Also, Arabic language skills is a big bonus....(and in this environment, I would think a pre-requisite)

Beware the temptation of tax free living - rental costs are sky high. Dubai is a real dump. People are so anxious to leave there now, they are just deserting their cars at the airport

Not sure there is a lot going on in Dubai at the moment in TAS, rest of the Gulf maybe, look up a guy called Andy at Darwin ( Rec agency ), he does a lot around the Gulf, he maybe able to shed some light.

I know them, I have been approached regarding a number of roles in TAS across the Gulf by Darwin. Worth contacting if you are looking for TAS roles. I would reccomend.
