Hi, I'm going to apply for an internship position next year in Paris for the summer 2005. I was just wondering are internships paid within most management consultancy firms? In France many internships of any kind are not paid.

Yes, management consultancy firms pay their interns. Expect something between 1500 and 2500 Euros/month
that won't make you live like a king in Paris, but that's OK to survive.
However, start your apartment-hunt soon and consider flat sharing
