Just promoted - stay or go?

I've recently been promoted to Consultant at my firm but getting a number of calls each week from recruiters with jobs at lesser known firms offering 10-15. More money (mostly industry roles).

I'm interested to do an MBA in a years tome so saving money is important but so too is having decent references from a well known firm/consultancy.

Any thoughts on what to do?

Depends if you've applied to the MBA yet - if not, stick where you are. Otherwise, you'll be trying to get current employer references when you're only a few months into the next job - not a recipe for impressing your new boss or getting strong references.

Forget about references, most firms are only going to give you the start and end date of your employment. So try and figure out where you'll get the best experience quickest. If that turns out to be the higher paid job that's great
