Hi
This is aimed at experienced consultants and post MBa's.
I am mid way through an exec MBA (Henley mixed DL and lectures) and am considering consulting as a possible option for a new career direction.
I am from a consulting engineering background and have good problem solving abilities, like short challenges and need to do something that will bump up my take home (young family with growing expenditure). Age - mid 30's, 12 years management and projects experience.
My questions are:
1. Is consulting a good option generally and for my experience? If not whart would be a good alternative?
2. Do you need to be in MBB or one of the big 4 for future prospects?
3. What are the starting salary levels for MBA's?
4. Is the travel/hours as bad as this forum makes out? What is the norm?
Many thanks in advance for any help or advice that you can offer!
