Hi guys,
just read the news that IDS was bought by the Software AG today.
Can you imagine which impact this generates for the consulting arm within IDS?
|
In the short-term, I imagine that the impact is relatively small. The IDS Scheer client-facing business will continue - this is necessary so that customers can be retained. Also, the product knowledge of IDS Scheer and Software AG consultants is different, so there are some natural barriers to replacing one team with the other. In the medium or long-term, I imagine that there will be opportunities for consultants to learn about a wider range of products and here will be expectations/goals imposed on consultants to "cross-sell" these products.

One cr@p company buys another cr@p company - who cares about the outcome?
|
All those cr@p companies (like McKinsey, Bain, Booz & Co., Oliver Wyman, etc.) who use ARIS to deliver their work?
|
yes big-a,
this will be the way it might happen.
I don´t know if you all know what the IDS is doing around ARIS. They have a big SAP practice and small business consulting teams, f.e. banking solution or management consulting services.
What might be the outcome for IDS consultants who are not focussed on the old or new SAG products?
|
...and of course not ARIS-focussed in the first step.
Are there companies outside which might be interested in buying consulting teams with little or no future within the new company?
Because you can´t run business consulting with this brand name

I've never heard bout MBB using ARIS?! where is this from??
