I have been working at a strat firm for 2 years and am really keen to leave (I'm being crippled by the hours), but have no idea what consultants go on to do- if it isn't PE or a start up.
Any help/ advise on how to find in-house strat roles would be great!

You have no idea how your own personal skills might be of value to other organisations? Yet you feel comfortable advising on corporate strategy.
I really, really, really hope this is a wind up....
...and another thing. If you what you provide to your clients is "advise" you may find it is only a matter of time before you "loose" "you're" job which as you are a strat consultant would no doubt lead to "serious concatonation of the short term optionising process leading consumer level recognitiion of the severe current deconstruction of the nine-to-five activity market"
